California Native Bee Garden?

| I was hoping to get together a list of california native wildflowers that are beneficial to bees. As I understand it, bee populations have been progressively falling, and I thought I might plant some flowers to make the little buggers happy. Maybe ones that bloom in different seasons or climates, for variety.
If anyone has some knowledge of California wildflowers that fit the profile i'd appreciate the help.
Thanks. |

| I am not familar with the California Natives but I recently read that it is best to give bees a variety of plants rather than just one or two. It would help if you put your location since California has so many different climates. |

| Maybe these links will help. Not all the plants on the lists are native, so please either avoid those or check that none of them are invasive where you are. http://nature.berkeley.edu/urbanbeegardens/list.html http://www.xerces.org/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/california_plants_for_native_bees_xerces_society_factsheet.pdf |
