RE: Pyracantha in a container ?

You can grow practically anything in a container as long as you pay attention to the type of potting mix you use, sunlight, watering needs, and fertilizer. Pyracantha is a popular bonsai subject, by the way.

You can't plunk a plant into a pot full of top soil or garden soil and expect it to do very well, for example. Some commercial potting mixes are dreadful, but if you do a little research on what a medium for a woody plant should feel and look like, you should be able to come up with a good mix.
