Window nest box

Do birds really nest in the bird boxes with clear backs that attach to windows with suction cups? They look interesting (especially for kids), but I'm not sure if birds will use them, or if it's safe on a window. Thanks for any input!

Yes they do. You will want to have a shade to keep your evening light out of the box , and be sure to mount it where preditors cant get to it from the roof or eaves. Caution: be very careful of placement, if Squirrels can get to it you could be showing the kids something they wont want to see!

RE: Window nest box

I was so glad to find this posting. We recieved one of those window nest boxes for Christmas and my daughter and I have been thinking of where we will be putting it. Our nest box came with a shade that you put on the inside of the house and can be moved from side to side.
