Turkey forage..

hey guys.. I have three domestic bronze turkeys in my backyard. I'm thinking about planting something for them to eat. Chufa sounds nice but supposidly it's only good in northern california not south (where i am). I am considering grass (like kentucky blue), cowpeas, or alfalfa.. What do you guys/gals recommend? Do turkey's even eat alfalfa? Thanks

RE: Turkey forage..

They love the wild onions in the field across the street from our house in rural NC. They will eat anything a chicken will eat like chickweed, wild greens, and chicken food. I dont know about alfalfa.
