Garden design books?

I was wondering if someone can point me to a decent garden design book or web resources that would show me how to layout a garden and talk about design principles. Many garden books talk about the plants and soil and other technical aspect, but I am interested in the design aspect.

I just happened to buy six used books on Amazon, all about different aspects of gardening.

One good one is the "Big Book of Garden Designs" by Sunset Publishers. It contains color photos and diagrams of many different garden designs.

Another one is "Designing Your Gardens and Landscapes," by Janet Macunovich. It covers principles, such as focal point, site assessment, etc. and how to do your own planning with sketches and all.

I got each of these books, used, for about $6.00. Well worth the money! Good luck.
