Thanks for the article. Incidentally, I do live near Cook county. The Coyote must have travel quite a bit of ways to get to my house.

Fascinating article, maifleur. I like the idea of coyotes reducing the rodent and goose populations, especially here in the D.C. area. Hate the thought that most die before they are three years old, but I suppose that is to be expected.

Better that they eat the geese than pets. But like all things they too have to eat something.

Better mice than men :-). Actually I wouldn't mind it visiting the yard more often, if only to clear out the mice.

We have very few coyotes in my area of western WI. They are hunted each winter with dogs. No foxes either as the last ones we saw had mange. The wolf population here is on the increase though.
