Wow I have no idea where to send you with this question, I would think you would only want to plant grasses that are native to your area? I think I saw a "Native plants and Grasses" forum. Good Luck

I have zoysia and rabbits do not get much use from it because it is brown about 8 months out of 12. Rabbits like violets and piles of brush to hid in. I did have a mama nest in a tube of wire fencing but she was very young.

People rant about planting forbs for wildlife. Forbs are generally weeds left to grow where you want them. Check your local state conservation department to see about building a habitat for the bunnies.

I agree, most rabbits won't touch "grass" in your yard. They MUCH prefer the clover and dandelions and other such things people get into such a tizzy over (personally, to me, green is green and the kids love the flowers so... *shrug*) Caged bunnies eat timmothy hay (alphalfa's too rich) so you could maybe look into planting a swatch of something like that?

Rabbitts LOVE white clover. Probably they love any kind of clover. But clover is easy to plant in your lawn or if you don't like the looks of it in amoungst the grass then try planting the white clover along the edges of your lawn. Your bunnies will thank you.

I'd like to know how this went for you...but from the opposite perspective. We live in rural Utah - high mountain desert - and are trying to have some green plants that won't be demolished by rabbits and antelope. There is a small lawn on the north side of our new home, completely ravaged by rabbits and also so covered in rabbit poop that it's crazy. At any given time we can look out the window and see 8-10 rabbits munching away.

We've looked at the Zoysia grass because we heard it was "resistant" to animals, so I'm curious how it went for you!

The antelope munch on the trees...but that's another problem!
