Anoles are usually a tree and shrub dwelling species and although they may be seen occasionally on rocks they usually prefer to hide out amongst the vegetation to compliment their green/brown coloring.

Your other lizard may be the Eastern Fence Lizard a species which would enjoy your rock wall. You may also see other species of lizards such as whiptails and skinks that are also more ground dwelling...

Sorry I'm late posting, I'm not regular on this board and came to ask a question but saw a post of interest.

I absolutely love the anoles and various lizards around my house and they obviously love my property too.

Anoles adore holly bushes and also fences and trees, but the holly bushes will always be a favorite, maybe the food it attracts for them?
