http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/uw251 identifies all the common "black snakes" in Florida.
Several of them have light chins, and none of those are poisonous.

Based on the description and location alone, I'm pretty confident its a Southern Black Racer. A picture will help confirm that.

They are harmless and nonvenomous.

Here's a snake photo I took a few days ago. It's a Black Rat Snake killing a Copperhead. The Copperhead's mouth can be seen on the right. Good Black Rat Snake!!

Fantastic picture! Love it! One minor correction: it appears to be a Black King Snake (rather than a Black Rat Snake) eating a Copperhead. Super picture!
