wrens

I have a next of baby wrens outside our front door. I sit on a bench out there in the a.m. and watch the parents flying back and forth with bugs and listen to the little chirps inside the house. Waiting for the babies to emerge and I know it's gotta be close since the parents are making a lot of noise these days when chipmunks, squirrels, turkeys, big birds, and I show up to cause a "threat."

My question: when the fledglings are ready to exit, will they actually fly out or drop to the ground first? I've never seen emerging babies before....will they do it while I'm there or wait until the coast is clear?
