While I'm here, I thought I'd post a cute story that happened years ago...

I was reading out in the backyard and had some soda crackers with me. A crow landed nearby and I tossed him a cracker which he scooped up in his beak and flew away with. I tossed out two crackers in case he came back. He did and scooped those two up and flew off. I decided to toss out three crackers and when he arrived he scooped those three up and took off again, this time seemingly with some trouble from the weight of those crackers. Sooooo, I threw out four crackers. He came back, of course, knowing a good thing, and scooped up three crackers, tried to get that fourth one in his beak but had a bit of trouble this time. He let go of all three in his mouth, picked up the fourth one and ate it, then scooped up the other three and with a hearty, although labored, caw-caw, he disappeared for the final time! Maybe he was saying thank you!

I have no doubt they are smart birds!
