frogs

hi there-

i posted this in another forum too because i wasn't sure where to put it.

this morning i went out to my pool and discovered a bunch of blobs of frog eggs. i think the eggs must have been laid last night. i got a bucket out this morning and rescued as many of the eggs as i could from the water. unfortunately the pump turned on during the rescue, therefore the water began to circulate, and disrupted some of the jelly surrounding the eggs.

my question is, is it possible at all for any of the eggs to have survived being in the chlorine since last night? would the chlorine have penetrated through the jelly into the eggs and they are already dead? or is there still a way to save them? i think i may dump them into a creek behind my house, but i know they do not like to be in "running" water like that. i also thought about getting a plastic pond from the store and finding a spot in my yard for it, and filling it with water from the creek. there's an area of my yard off to the side by a fence and frogs seem to love it there, so that's where i'd put the little pond.

thanks!

Samantha
