I had a large wreath on my front door ( storm door )...the end of May I noticed a nest being built in it. Well...the last of the babies just left yesterday. So I was able to watch everything through the glass door.I have taken close to 500 pics of the whole process from laying eggs, hatching and just watching them grow. I really enjoyed it. Now..I am wondering why they keep coming back to the nest, my hubby said he saw the male there last night. Should I leave the nest there, and why would they come back?

Some birds reuse the nest for a second family. What kind of finches are they?

Our fledged batch (one nest) of barn swallows come back to the nest each night and try to STUFF themselves inside, so that the parents will continue to feed them. Bad little spoiled birdies.
