Name that poo

I usually hang out on the water garden forum but I was hoping someone here could help me.

As you can see from the attached image, something that is not a deer, skunk, possum, fox, or coyote has visited my back yard. Dear old Dad seems to think it could be from a Black Bear (yikes!). It seems rather small for a bear but I can't imagine what else it could be. I'm in southern RI right near the coast.

It IS bear scat - looks like the blueberries/huckleberries are ripe, too.
