I recently put down a couple of large saucers to collect water, so maybe that's why I suddenly have a shrew. I've seen it running FAST between the hole it apparently stole from a chipmunk (which I know was using that hole earlier this summer) and the saucer, so I think it must be using that as a source of drinking water.

I have a major slug problem which I've recently decided to try decollate snails with, so I'm very excited to have another predator set up housekeeping. Though I imagine the shrew is just as happy to eat my decollate snails as it is slugs.
