Hello all! I live in central Massachusetts and recently moved to a new house. Yesterday we were doing some work to the deck, namely ripping out the old steps. We boarded up the corner of the deck as we haven't yet installed new steps where the old, rotted out ones were. Today, in the dirt where the steps used to be, I saw a small pile of droppings that were not there yesterday. We're wondering if you could help us identify them! We placed a plastic golf ball next to the scat to help with scale.

We have seen some cats wandering the backyard, but otherwise have not seen any other critters. No raccoons or skunks...which we're fearing is what may have left us this gift. Any help is appreciated! Let me know if there is more information I can provide that would be helpful.
