i found a baby bunnies nest behind my pond and i was wondering will the mama rabbit use this nest again for future babies?
i really like them and enjoyed watching the babies hop around for the first time

RE: do rabbits nest in the same spot?

hi. i'm not an expert, but i would venture a no. i had a mother rabbit make a nest in my tomato garden last year. not certain if it's the same mother rabbit, but i see her and her young ones all over, just not in the same place. they didn't travel too far though, if they are all the same family from the previous year.

they are fascinating to watch though, aren't they? after they all come out of the nest and frolick around, you can see the mother rabbit keeping watch from a distance. after so much time, they are all on their own.

just don't mess with the nest/babies, the mother will abandon them.
