I recently stumbled upon this wonderful documentary with Becky and the bear cubs that she rescued. Does anyone know what happened to Becky? I red the stories and can't help but wonder what ever happened since then....thanks so much if anyone has an update....

I`ve been wondering also - it was an amazing feat she accomplished in spite of a lot of naysayers. Just goes to show you that there is a lot more depth to the animal world than we like to admit. There is another site that I follow re: bear research - very fascinating and dispelling a lot of misconceptions about bears. I believe Becky attended their bear walker course. The site is at www.bear.org.

It's usually one man with a vision/ dream, right? I totally agree that there's more to animals that we know... a lucky few have unforgettable experiences like Becky did. I hope somewhere, somehow bear researchers use her experiences and knowledge and honor her for it. Thank you for the website; I shall check it out.
