Found this guy in one of my rock garden, looks like he/she is trying to find home... and what to do before my cats found him/her.

It's a Red Eft which is the land based stage of the Red-spotted Newt. Efts are in between the larval stage and the full-fledged adult stage. Since the adults are aquatic the land-based eft phase is the most commonly seen phase of the Red-Spotted Newt. Newts are in the salamander family.
