Did I hurt it's eyes with my flash??

Hi all,
DH and I were sitting on the deck after dark tonight, when we saw 2 huge hummingbird moths on the hosta flowers. I got my camera and took a bunch of pics........but after they left, I started worrying that maybe I hurt their eyes. Please tell me I didn't.
Unfortunately......none of the pics turned out very well, or I would share them with you. These moths are beautiful. And when you turn a light on outside, their eyes glow red. It's really a cool sight! |

| Cath T... I can't imagine you would hurt the eyes with the flash on your camera. Can't be any different than them being attracted to very bright outdoor lights and such. I would think at worst, they might see spots for a while ;o) I don't know for sure but I really don't think a flash would do any serious harm. Barb |
