Ladybugs Everywhere

I opened the door outside on Saturday (later morning) and had a ladybug fly in the door. I stepped outside.... there were ladybugs everywhere! Every square foot of the house siding had one ladybug on it. They were very active. Red and orange colors. We had day temp 70+ for last couple days, but cool 40-50 at nights. What does it mean if ladybugs come out in large numbers one day in November?

A light-colored wall, facing west? They are looking for a place to spend the winter.

actually it was facing due east and south; one did get inside the house - found it next day on the ceiling
