liriodendrons

Is there anyone out there who has any knowledge of how many cultivars there are of liriodendron tulipifera? I grow 12 here in SW Scotland, all very unique in leaf shape, size , and colouration. I would be interested to hear from anyone with experience in this field. I also have L.Chinense and am awaiting delivery of the tulipifera /chinense cross hybrid.

RE: liriodendrons

You are fortunate! To have so much space and the good weather to support such beautiful trees. I do believe you must have all the cultivars. If ever you have an opportunity to post a photo of 'Tortuosum' (or 'Contortum'/'Crispum'), which I've never seen, I would be appreciative(leaf, flower, stem!) Looking forward to hearing/seeing your new hybrid.
