the dog and I have just done a walkabout. blooming- winter jasmine, 3 violets "THe Czar", snowdrops, helleborus foetidus, lonicera standishii or fragrantissims- I can never make up my mind which it is, viburnum bodnantense, pansies, asarina!!, osteospermums, camellia ??, single white, daphne ??- one floret-, corylus contorta. the daylilies are 6 inches high, and I am afraid it is almost too late to cut back the big grasses- generally I do this in mid-february.

I've seen coreopsis and dianthus in bloom, as well as pelargoniums that haven't completely shut down. A mild season, so far.

RE: my garden

A few of my potted pelargoniums are still blooming (protected by an overhanging roof). But they look pretty ratty.
