I planted a whole slope with coral willow, red and yellow twig dogwwods and eunymous. their winter color is amazing when the colors are massed together.

My garden is a tiny postage stamp size, so I have room for only one coral willow which I planted by the garage. I have a Viburnum opulus 'Compactum' next to the willow. It is almost full grown and is having so may berries this year. I hope they'll last well into winter.

This spring I added a Thuja orientalis kind of in front of the willow.

On the other side of the willow, I have a red twig dogwood ' Ivory Halo'. Behind the dogwood is Thuj occidentalis 'Emerald Green' In front of the dogwood I have a clump of Sedum 'Autumn Joy' that received too much water sometimes.

I plan to add a red/yellow twig dog wood to this ensemble once my layered twigs have rooted.

I am quite happy imagining what that spot will look in January/February..and especially when it is covered with snow..
