| Is there any kind of flower that blooms during the winter, at night? |

| I suppose it depends where you are, i.e. which zone. My brugmansia was flowering for me last Winter until a very cold week in January killed her almost to ground level. In a normal Winter she will bloom sporadically and the big trumpets smell best at dusk and early morning. In which zone are you? I couldn´t understand from your name. Eduarda |

| I suppose brugmansia won´t be hardy outdoors in zone 7. As I said, mine died almost to the ground in a cold week in January (-5 Celsius), and I´m in zone 10, so I don´t think you could grow yours outdoors. How about a conservatory? She should do well there. Sorry, I can´t think of any other plant to match your criteria. Maybe other posters can help further. Eduarda |

| Winter Jasmine flowers in winter and the flowers seem to stay open all night. I'll check after dark tonight! It's hardy to zone 7. Cyclamen coum flowers in mid-winter here (first buds are showing now), perhaps later in the winter and early spring where you are. I'm not sure, but I think those flowers stay open at night also. Viburnum bodnantense 'Dawn' is a large shrub that flowers throughout the winter. Crocus laevigatus flowers in mid-winter, although there are varieties that flower any time from late autumn through to spring. The flowers only open in sunny conditions. Are these the sort of things you are looking for? |
