What to do....

This is my first year for elephant ears, and for my container water garden.
In zone 7 I dont know if it is necessary to dig my elephant ear up or just let it stay where it is. And I dont have a clue what to do with the water plants. I have pickerel rush, parrot feather, water iris, and frog bit.
Help!! It is already getting cold.

Thanks

i put a peformed pond and grow/aquarium lights in my heated basement, put my fish in it and all my waterplants(iris, corkscrew rush, zebra grass, and water hyacinths). im in zone 6 so its a little colder here. i think all the plants will survive if left outside but after last winter im not taking any chances.
