yo whats up? I'm thinking about planting a gold mop Cypress for Winter interest is there any think I should know about it first? will it give winter interest?

I just want to know anything about them! thanks!

You should post your question to the Conifer forum. Do you know the full cultivar name for the Cypress? Are you buying from a local nursery or from an online source?

The botanial name of this plant is Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Golden Mop'. It is a dwarf form of the threadleaf Sawara false cypress and yes, provides exceptional winter interest. Best coloring comes from placement in full sun and it prefers slightly acidic soils and even moisture. Not happy in very hot or dry conditions or in alkaline soils.
