What a beautiful day in our 'hood. I know it is autumn but I am thinking of my winter produce today. It was sunny, warm, and a perfect day to plant for winter.

Leaves are coming down, so raking commenced. The raised bed produce is done so I pulled the last jalepeno and turnips and turned the bed out to make ready for the winter crop.

I sowed seeds of rutabaga, and tomorrow will sow seeds for beets and carrots, and one last patch of red lettuce.

There is one silly lily bud in a pot on my deck so the season is not over yet. When that beauty makes it's way out she will sit in a vase next to the christmas cactus that decided to bloom in the window yesterday. Flowers are funny aren't they?

I don't even like winter time but what the heck...I am going to make the best of it :)
