The Plant /Person Relationship In Healing A Plants-as-teachers hands on intensive July 6th-8th 2012

Plants have formed a unique relationship with us since the earliest time. Not only in the provision of food and medicine but in our deepest spiritual experience. Their form, beauty, enchanting scents, healing and emotional qualities, have all provided a gateway into the great mystery of nature. Join internationally acclaimed Herbal Educator and Holistic Scientist Isla Burgess (NZ) for this weekend intensive. The intention of this weekend is to broaden our relationship with the plants that grow around us and deepen our herbal knowledge.

Isla Burgess is an inspiring teacher and Director of the International College of Herbal Medicine www.herbcollege.com . She is an experienced herbal medicine practitioner and has presented at conferences in New Zealand, Australia, Canada and the United States. Her current focus is on how to deepen our understanding and experience of living in relationship with the plant world. She is a wild and medicinal plant conservationist as well as the founder of The International Research Group for the Conservation of Medicinal Plants www.irgcmp.org . She has appeared in two recent film documentaries and is the author of Weeds Heal: A Working Herbal. Each Person Will have their own unique experience and are likely to develop:

-Increased Skills in Local Plant Identification

-A Strong Sense of the Inner Nature of Each Plant

-A closer relationship with the natural world

-An increased ability to understand the plant/person relationship

-discovery of your plant ally: a plant that restores and maintains your individual health

This event is open to the beginner herbalist as well as the seasoned professional. It will be held at Wellspring Center in West Bend, WI
