| Yes, I've grown them for several years, as the variety "Morelle de Balbis". Culture them as you would eggplant. I will be starting mine this weekend. Be really careful of the thorns... they are cute when the plants are small, but become quite vicious in the mature plants. Expect a 4-5 foot tall plant, which will sprawl unless caged - which I highly recommend, to harvest the fruit without injury. I guess I should say, with minimal injury, because you will get stuck a few times. The plants are really beautiful, but I wouldn't place them near a high-traffic area, or where small children could get into them. |
