Where you are in Wisconsin and a picture of the house would help. Failing that, is it a one or two story house? Symetrical or asymentrical? Sun or shade? Clay or sand? Any additional info would help.

I am hopelessly in love with pagoda dogwoods ... a small tree that is fifteen to twenty feet high plus as wide. It is a native, has white flowers in spring, berries in summer the birds go crazy for and burgundy red foliage for autumn.

Degroots spire are very narrow evergreens, slow growth rate, I think a maximum 2 foot width, after many, many years.

Arborvitae, although everyone and their brother puts them in their yards. A burning bush could work, which I have growing on the east corner of my house. Skyrocket juniper is another tall, narrow one, although they'd need a full sun corner. Dwarf alberta spruce is a slow growing, very nice looking dwarf spruce, and works well for corners. I'd avoid any kind of tree, outside of "dwarf" types that are more like shrubs, because what is called a "small" tree, usually equates to a 30 foot tree over time, and usually just as wide, unless of course you do the correct prunung to dwarf it.
