Daffodils and Tulips

We just went out to the garden and found patches of daffodils and species tulips emerging in a bunch of different places, and we still have snow on the ground! Hooray, maybe we will have any early spring. Our lake is still frozen, and my garden journal tells me it usually goes out during the first week of April. Wow, I am so excited.

We did a lot of yard work yesterday. Cleaning our leave and stuff and my daffodidls, iris and tulips are really coming up. The birds are singing like crazy. I think spring is really here.Sherry

Last night was the first thunderstorm of the year. What a beautiful sound! The rain is cleaning up all the leftover snow. The Wisconsin River opened by us this week, and I think Sherry is right, spring is here, hooray!

I'm near Winter, about halfway between Hayward and Park Falls. I haven't found my scilla yet, but this morning I found crocus, and a few perennials sprouting. I can't wait now to get rid of the leaves, but I know it's too early. My husband cut down two dead birches yesterday, and I'm starting the think about what to put in their place.
