Menards in MF has small blue lupine plants for $0.99 each. Can't go wrong. I have had bad luck with these in the past, but I'm trying again, because they are so beautiful.

Home Depot has 6 packs of nice annualsfor .99 now. Steins is something like $l.39 for a 3 pack!

Lupine seeds will grow leaves the first year and bloom the 2nd. However, some will bloom the first year from seed. Get them in the ground now. They have reseeded themselves for several years at my West Bend home. This year I will
add new seeds to the mixture. Always better when started from seed rather than plants from a nursery. Somehow the new seedlings adapt to its new environment better than plants, and will re-seed if you cut off the seed pods and throw them around your bed in the fall. glty, pondy
