I have one very healthy paw paw in full bloom in SE wi. It's mate died in the first year. Every subsequent attempt to plant larger grafted trees has failed. I don't want to wait another five or ten years for a seedling before deciding whether I like the fruit. Anyone out there within an hour or so of Milwaukee that would be willing to share a Q-tip or so of pollen??? Is this even possible?

Paw paws tend to be zone 5+ trees. I know people in Illinois grow this tree. Check out the Midwest or Great Lakes forums for this request. You may get more responses.

I'm planting seeds and going to try them on the other side of the state. Its probably a losing battle.
