I am not too happy about the predicted frost tonight, but otherwise, our spring here in Madison has been OK so far. We had little rainfall in April, and I had to hand water our blueberry shrubs. But we've had considerable rain since then, so I think the ground is recharged with water. The grass is happy, and our yard is covered with wild violets. I put off mowing 'till last weekend, because I wanted to give the violets a chance to bloom. I hope you get everything covered, and it warms up soon.

I won't be able to cover the clematis. Maybe I could tie little baggies on each of the buds. lol

We had a 5/31 frost last year and I lost everything.

Last year this time I was hardening off my plants, but right now I have leggy toms and peppers all over my kitchen and living room waiting for our first warm stretch. It's not fair...

I have a mass of hostas that are getting huge and need to be separated (I put it off last year). Between the cold and the wet, I haven't been able to get to it. I know I'm going to be struggling with them by the time I can finally coax them out of the ground.

I haven't planted anything that would be effected by Frost, except for Forsythia and Magnolia...which have already bloomed and dropped their flowers after 3 weeks.
