Door County heirloom tomato plants?

My dad has been growing tomatoes for 50 years, and ready to try some heirlooms! I've suggested Brandywine and Cherokee Purple, but I'm a southern boy and not sure which varieties do well in Sister Bay. My questions:

1. What two varieties would you suggest?

2. Where can he buy plants?

You picked two good ones. I'd stick with those if you can. The Door County master gardeners plant sale is on May 31st. I'm sure it's mostly flowers, but I would hope there would be some different tomato plants. Not sure exactly where but you could check with the extension office on that. They may even have another suggestion of where to buy them.
