So I thought I might add I'm open to any suggestions to as what you might do. I've had all kinds of ideas which all take alot of time so I haven't done any yet except to develop the one side of the deck behind the garage into a rock area.

I really feel for you. I had to remove a lot of stone once. The house we bought had a four foot wide strip of lava rock running around most of the house. We screened it, then dumped it underneath our deck.

You could put it some place and advertise it on freecycle noting that the person who wanted it was responsible for loading it and taking it away. Our city's yard waste recycling dropoff site will take stone, your's might too. Construction companies use it as fill, but of course, you'd have to bring it there and dump it.

I don't have any creative suggestions except to use it for a mosaic patio, which is something I dream of doing. If you were my neighbor, I'd consider taking the stone for that purpose. I know, I am no help at all. :-)

It is really some nicely colored washed stone. Let it be known in the 'landscaping world' that there is free washed stone available. Perhaps? The younger crowd may take it for you, however it is not very expensive.

Golleee! Did the previous owners use stone for mulch? Call your city recycling and ask them for ideas. Talk it up around your neighborhood, who knows, maybe someones friends or relative are looking for stones to edge a new pond or create a dry-stone riverbed. Boy, I would take it in a minute if you lived near me. If you know any lake or pond dwellers, ask them if they want it. Makes great spawning beds for bluegills.

Freecycle!!! freecycle.org or craigslist.org. Someone will come and take away your misery and be glad to do it.
