weed or flower?

I have this plant growing and spreading like crazy in my flower beds. I left it because the leaves looked like it was some sort of flower, but now that it's bloomed the flowers are just little weedy heads. Should I pull this?

Here's a description. I'd like to post a picture, but I can't figure out how to do it.

Many stems in a plant. Long leaf, edges are serated. Stem is stiff and hard to pull out. Flowers aren't really flowers, just weedy looking and greenish white.

Sounds like it might be fleabane, but really impossible to tell without a picture. Weeds are just flowers where you don't want them.

Is it Bishop's Weed? AKA Goutweed or in it's variegated form it's known as Snow On The Mountain. Invasive nightmare of a weed, is what it is. A google search will get you all kinds of pictures, but I'm afraid getting rid of it is a nightmare. It spreads via rhizomes underground, so you need to carefully remove the root system completely.
