We had just over 1.5" of rain last night. We desperately needed it. The worst of the storm went around us, but I did hear of some having their corn knocked over.

I was just thrilled to get rain! My lawn was starting to crunch under our feet.

We didn't get the wind, just a little thunder and lightening and almost 2 inches of rain, but no flooding. The soil is perfect for weeding, so I managed to get most of it done today. I'd still be out there but it is raining again.

Be glad that you only got a windstorm and rain, and not something worse.

A couple weeks ago we got a Wet Microburst in a small 2.5 mile area, with 75+mph winds, that took down four mature trees. What a mess! But the house and garage were spared. Looked like a war zone around here for a couple weeks until we got it cleared up with the help of a good neighbor, who heats his home w/wood.

Luckily, this was the only damage:
