I'm so sorry to hear this! When we had hail recently I was grateful that my garden (ornamental, not edible) was all under trees where it was buffered some. Is there time for the plants to recover and maybe blossom and set some fruit yet this year?

noinwi, I forget where you're from--Couderay? Eagle River here. We did not get your storm, thank goodness! We did get some much needed rain, but it was peaceful...

I hope things are better than they look. We had those straight line winds a few years back, with giant White Pines down over the garden, and the damage when all was said and done was minimal. We had another T-storm blast through again tonight, but luckily no hail. We are in Cumberland, west of Rice Lake. Looking at the garden today, many tomatoes dropped off the vines after the fact, I assume from shock. The toms still on are badly bruised, however the ones on the very bottom of the plants look ok. The zucchini might bounce back, but the cuke vines have had it. I'm starting more seed for both. I think there is still time for them to produce according to info on the packets. My peppers and tomatoes are definitely set back, but I think they will recover. I was getting ready to clear some space for carrots, lettuce and peas anyway...it will just take a little longer to clean things up.
Constance, thank you for the offer, but I hadn't planted anything for seed this year.
