We watched the weather news last night and saw that everything severe would be north of us. But we did get some high winds and thunder during the night (which made our dog constantly bark, which gave us a rather restless night).

I sympathize with anyone who has trees down. We had four mature trees go down in mid-June, and it's a big job to clean up the mess!

I was wondering the same thing, especially south of us where they had 70 mph winds.

We got a little less than a half inch of rain, not ideal, but at least it's something. I should leave the comfort of the air-conditioned house to weed while the ground is soft. The humidity is 79%, for the weather nerds - the dew point is 67%. I'm having a hard time motivating myself to go outside.

It missed us in Oak Creek. There was rain, lightning and thunder, but it wasn't bad at all.

My mom said their patio set, which is super heavy, flipped over on their deck and her metal arbor twisted out of the ground. They live in Neenah. We were dog sitting, so between my dog and that dog I also did not sleep during the storm.

My dog doesn't bark, but other dog kept barking all night after the storm. I thought big tree limbs were falling in the yard, but in the morning in the neighbors yard we found remnents of these soda cans that were wrapped in duct tape, stuffed with newpaper, and obviously had something explosive in them. Called the police and they said they call them "MacGyver Bombs". We had no clue where they came from, so there was nothing the police could do. I guess some science teacher had showed the kids how to make them, and now the police have been having trouble with high school kids exploding things with them.

We're in for another round of storms tonight, which could be just as bad or worse for people south of us.
