Youth Vacant Lot Garden in Milwaukee Looking for Natives

Hi There! Was directed here by a fellow forum member.

I am working with a Milwaukee after school program to design and build a vacant lot park on the city's near north side. The kids are very interested in mixing native plant beds into their plan, and are asking for whatever anyone would be willing to donate or give at a discounted price.

I live in Madison, and am able to travel and help to split, dig up, etc.

Even if you are unable to donate plants, let me know if any greenhouses in your area that have stock they are willing to sell at a discount.

We are also still in need of shrubs and non-native landscape plants for areas as well.

Thanks so much Wisconsin! :)

Michelle

I would try Ebert's Greenhouse Village in Ixonia Wisconsin, kind of in between Madison and Milwaukee. They are a large family owned nursery that is big on doing community type stuff and loves working with kids.
