......I found another reason to hate them.

Not only did they chew on my Roses (don't have many Roses anymore for that reason), but one - JUST ONE, all by itself - managed to get caught (and probably fried) in the electrical connection outside which operates the AC unit. We have central air, and of course, this had to happen on a very hot, humid Sunday (yesterday) when technicians aren't available. Well, today the repair man came and got all systems working fine. I wonder what the bill will be. Oh well, at least it wasn't the compressor!

BTW, some of you may wonder why I didn't ask the man how much the bill would be. That's because we trust the guy, who works for the company that delivers our fuel oil and propane gas. They fix our furnace too, when it goes kaput. Have dealt with them for years, and they treat us well.
