Shade to sun

| I have a 6 ft tall wood fence on the south side of my property. I would like to screen the neighbors deck which is elevated. Any suggestions for a tree or shrub that would grow OK to 6ft in shade and then tolerate the sun as it gets taller? |

| Thuja occidentalis 'Degroot's Spire' comes to mind. I take it you're looking for a conifer/evergreen? How wide can the tree be? tj |
