Locust trees

In the '80's I planted two locust trees from the Arbor Foundation in my front yard. The trees are huge but have never borne flowers, which was the sole reason for planting them. Can anyone advise why this is (or isn't) happening?
Thanks!

RE: Locust trees

We have a locust tree that just started blooming 3 years ago. Now blooms all the time. It is about 30-50 years old.

It is posible that the locust tree has flowered but you have not noticed the light green blooms. You did not say which type of locust you have but not all have the big clusters of showy blooms.
