Birds are an essential part of the germination process for some seeds. Their stomachs digest the outer part (which sometimes contains a germination inhibitor!). When they poop, out pops the seed itself.

What wildflowers are you interested in? You posted this in the woodland forum, so are you primarily interested in more shade tolerant wildflowers?

I would be interested in knowing some shade loving wildflowers!

Columbines, Hostas, Trilliums, Corydalis, Bloodroot, Uvulariia, Arisamea and many more are available. All the above I have had great success with( I almost forgot about Lobelia both red and blue)

Carex, is that mix something that you can get all pre mixed? or would I need to buy those seeds seperately? Either way, do you buy the seeds from a nursery or online?

I don't think carex was referencing a mix. These are all plants that flower and that grow in shade.
