Hi everyone! I usually don't hang around this forum but I have a plant I'd like ID'ed and this seemed like the perfect place to ask. Found growing amongst the leaf litter about 6ft [little under 2m for you metric folks] in from the edge of a woods in Michigan. Obviously a spring bloomer.
Cute little things. Flowers are roughly 0.5 inches [1.5cm] across. Leaves 3-4 inches [8-9cm] long. Any idea? |

| It looks like claytonia virginica aka spring beauty. It grows from a bulb or tuber deep in the ground, blooms in the spring then disappears. The attached url has info about the plant if you are interested: http://www.vnps.org/claytonia.html ~ Shari |
