| I finally figured out what these cool looking plants are in my woods. Very distinctive leaves. It's goodyera pubescens- downy rattlesnake plantain (orchid). Does anyone know when they bloom- site said May to September?
Thanks,

| Hey Beth, In your area figure mid-July to August. You may be a little disappointed if you've never seen it in bloom, the leaves are much more conspicuous than the flowers. Still, they have nice little crystalline box-shaped flowers. PF |

| Today is the 21st of August 2011 and I just found the Rattlesnake orchid in bloom in my woods. I am on an island at the south end of Puget Sound in Washington State. The flowers are lovely, first time the patch of my orchids have bloomed that I know. The patch of plants is getting larger each year. |
