Could be ramps, based on the red at the bottom of the leaf. Smell them, if they have that onion odor, that is it. I just picked some today for a friend. Don't eat them myself.

They have a pretty flower much later in the season.

Agreed. They are a very nice native plant. I would let them grow into a thicker clump before harvesting any. The flowers come up after the leaves die down. And since they do die down (like many native spring plants), be sure to mark well.

You guys , I believe are right. When I rubbed one of the seven leaves that I showed in my picture, it had a slight onion smell..I was wondering , if it will produce a flower for me this year ??? I will sure mark the spot as someone had mentioned to do and will keep an eye out for it. Maybe its to young or to small yet..Most of the leaves are laying on the ground now and a couple are turning yellow like old dafodills...Thanks again...
