sharp lobed hepatica

I have had a small clump of sharp lobed hepatica for several years. A friend who was moving gave it to me for safe keeping, and I planted it in an area in back that has lots of moisture, near the other plants she gave me. I knew what it was but not where it liked to grow. It's not doing as well as I hoped, it seems to get smaller each year but is still alive. The spot it's in seems to be great for jack in the pulpit (which is thriving) and bloodroot - which is just taking over the area, amazing! but I would like to have this hepatica do well too.

I'm assuming it needs less moist habitat, but can anyone give me any advice on what to do with it? I have dry woodlands growing on a sandy ridge, shady sand with dappled shade on a hillside, and wet shady woodlands. I can move this clump to one of these other spots but don't know if right now is a good time to dig it up. It just bloomed and now is developing seed pods. Only three blossoms this year!
